Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), which is India’s flagship energy major and a ‘Maharatna’ Central Public Sector Enterprise engaged in Exploration and Production of Oil & Gas in India and abroad, as a measure of Skill Building initiative for the Nation, proposes to engage apprentices at its offices in Silchar.

Applications are invited from candidates meeting the following qualifications for engagement as Apprentices under Apprentices Act 1961/1973 (as amended from time to time) in the trade/disciplines mentioned below:

1. Accountant

No of posts: 2

Educational Qualification: Passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system of education with Commerce & Maths. Full time regular B.Com Graduates.

2. Computer Operator and Programming Assistant

No of posts: 6

Educational Qualification: Trade Certificate in COPA trade

3. Electrician

No of posts: 12

Educational Qualification: Trade Certificate in Electrician trade

4. Fitter

No of posts: 18

Educational Qualification: Trade Certificate in Fitter trade

5. House Keeper (Corporate)

No of posts: 1

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent

6. Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant)

No of posts: 2

Educational Qualification: 3 Years Full Time BSC in Physics/ Chemistry). Trade Certificate in Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant)

7. Machinist/Turner

No of posts: 2

Educational Qualification: Trade Certificate in Machinist trade/Turner Trade

8. Mechanic Diesel

No of posts: 16

Educational Qualification: Trade Certificate in Mechanic Diesel trade

9. Secretarial Assistant

No of posts: 11

Educational Qualification: Passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent. Trade Certificate in Secretarial Assistant

10. Store Keeper

No of posts: 2

Educational Qualification: Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent

11. Surveyor

No of posts: 6

Educational Qualification: Trade Certificate in Surveyor trade

Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years ( Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST,i.e. upto max of 29 years, 3 years for OBC i.e. upto max of 27 years, for the posts reserved for them). Candidates belonging to PWD categories shall be given age relaxation upto 10 years (upto 15 years for SC/ST and upto 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates).The cut-off date for reckoning the age shall be 01.11.2017.

Pay: The apprentices are eligible for monthly stipend during their period of engagement which is subject to the periodic revision in minimum wages as applicable to particular location

How to apply: The candidate may apply for apprenticeship in the trade of their choice as per their eligibility, in Form A appended as Annexure and send it to the following address, superscribing “Apprentice Application” on the upper right corner of the envelop.

The Form A along with requisite attachments has to reach the concerned work centre by 5:00 PM of 03.11.2017. Candidates have to apply for any ONE DISCIPLINE ONLY as per their eligibility. If any candidate/ applicant submit application for more than one trade/ discipline then all the applications shall be rejected. Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/ B.Tech or equivalent, MBA or equivalent or MCA shall NOT be considered.
